Halloween Recap

Monday, November 4, 2013

Did anyone else have a Halloween hanger over on Friday?  I certainly did!  I could barely function I was so tired.

We had a full day of work and school.  Alex's family came over for some dinner and trick-or-treating.  I love getting the cousins together to celebrate and build traditions together.  It's the best kind of togetherness!  Here's a little recap of our Halloween in pictures...

Stated at work with a little Halloween photo shoot in the photo studio.  These are 2 of my 3 siblings.

Then Alex's family came over and we took our little princesses Trick or Treating around our hood.

Yes, the hubs isn't dressed up.  He could care less about spending $$ to buy a costume.  I love dressing up with the boys, plus my costume is less than the boys!

I've loved seeing everyone's posts on FB and IG all day long.  Everyone is so creative!

It's A Spiderman Themed Halloween

Thursday, October 31, 2013

My oldest wanted to be Spider Man in the worst way.  I like them to have a theme.  I'll do it for as long as I can get away with it!  But what other characters go with Spider Man, that will fit our family?  Of course he has to pick Spider Man.  He couldn't pick the Avengers or the Fantastic 4 or something like that.  Plus last year we were all members of the Justice League, you want to be a superhero again?  He's a boy, of course he does!  Then it came to me.... One of them could be the black Spider Man, one of them could be Amazing Spider Man, and one could be the Original Spider Man.  Done and done!  They all agreed!! Who would have thought that different variations of the same costume/character could be so cute?  I love it!

From our Spider family to yours, have a happy, fun, and safe Halloween!  And don't worry, the streets will be safe tonight with these three roaming around. And all the other superheros in the world that are out tonight!

Little babies in muscle costumes!  The cuteness!!!

Pumpkin Carving Round Two

Tuesday, October 29, 2013

More pumpkins!!!  This time with my side of the family at my dads.  Marina has made such a cool garden in their front and back yards, I love seeing what's new each time we go over there.  Earlier in the year they noticed that they had some random pumpkins growing in their front yard.  Off the side of the hill, totally not in their garden, completely un planted by anyone.  We watched them grow, and thought it would be fun to have a pumpkin carving party with all the cousins at Halloween.  There was no water going to that side of the yard, so it was pretty much hit or miss whether or not they were going to thrive enough.  Needless to say, they didn't make it.  But that didn't stop them from still having all the grand-babies over for pumpkin carving.  We're pretty sure, knowing my dad, that my dad will have a drip system down the hill by the end of the year!  HA!

The day prior we painted pumpkin because I didn't think Liam would be able to carve.... but this kid proved me wrong, and not only carved his pumpkin once, but twice.  And then also helped his cousin Chase once Chase woke up from his nap!

Pumpkin Carving Round One... and Painting

Monday, October 28, 2013

The weeks always seem to blend into each other this time of year.  Wasn't it just October.1 yesterday?  Sure feels like it.  We got to the pumpkin patch early this year, I thought, "wow, this is great... so much time to do all our other Halloween related things now!"  HA!  Right!  Now Halloween is this Thursday!  Which also means it's November on Friday?!?  Scary how fast that went by.

We had Friday set aside for over a week to do pumpkin carving with Alex's brother's family.  These traditions are just so much more fun when you can do it with cousins.

Liam Finally Plays Soccer!!

Thursday, October 24, 2013

I thought this day was never going to come.  I thought Liam was just going to be the bittle brother that was just happy as a clam running along the sidelines while his brothers played sports.  An idea that I was just getting used to.  However, on Tuesday, out of the blue he promised daddy that he was going to play soccer that day.  We didn't hold our breath, but took him anyways... the kid really doesn't have a choice in that department.  Practice started and he jumped in like he never skipped a beat!  I showed up a little late and all the moms on the sidelines started telling me how good he was doing before I even made it onto the track.

I'm so proud of this boy for conquering this fear!  He was so much fun to watch.  He's so much more animated than Aiden was.  He was having a blast, and every single smile, smirk, skip, hop and jump proved it.  Here's to today being just as good!  I hope!!

My Sister's Bridal Shower

Wednesday, October 23, 2013

It's another family wedding!!  The second born of us 4 is my sister Jennifer, who is getting married in 2 1/2 weeks at a private estate in Temecula's Wine Country.  This past weekend my baby sister, Jill, and I threw her a bridal shower.  Jill found the venue, The Lost Vine in Tustin, which was a perfect little place that matched her wedding's rustic chic/wine theme.  It was fun to see some of her friends that we've all known since our childhood days, along with catching up with some older friends.

Jennifer, I'm so excited for you to experience all that you are about to experience.  Jill and I love you!
